Welcome to Color Me Beautiful, Women of the World.
This is a no stress coloring book. Relax, it's a coloring book! I had fun making the illustrations and I want you to have fun coloring them in.
I encourage you to photocopy the pictures in this book for your own personal use. If you make copies you don't have to worry about ruining the original if you make a mistake, and you can try different color combinations and mixed media.
If you choose to work directly on the medium weight paper in this book, you'll find colored pencils, dry pastels, and crayons will give the best results.
Wet media such as markers and watercolors will bleed through and wrinkle paper, including the paper in this book and standard printer paper. If you plan on using wet media try printing on card stock, watercolor, or artists specialty papers.
There is no right or wrong way to color. I'm always thrilled when I see colorists come up with combinations and embellishments that are beyond anything I could have imagined. I tried to make each illustration in this book in such a way that it will look as good with flat colors as it will with more advanced techniques. That way no matter what your skill level you can be happy with the results.

Color Me Beautiful, Women of the World is designed to inspire colorists of all skill levels as you color in a variety of skin tones, hair colors, costumes, cultural adornments, and jewelry.
Includes 3 levels of complexity:
- 10 Simple Illustrations - practice your shading and texture techniques on pale to medium skin tones, buckskin, fur, cotton, denim, silks and satins.
- 10 Detailed Illustrations - each picture adds one or more challenging element: dark skin, flowing hair, flowers, beads, printed and embroidered fabrics, lace, flowers, straw hats, and tiny beads.
- 10 Challenging Illustrations - sharpen your pencils because these expert level illustrations will challenge even the most experienced colorist with tiny details such as, fine Irish lace, paisley print, Norwegian knitted sweater, a fabulous Brazilian dancer, and the exotic bead work of an Indian bride.

30 Beautiful Designs of Women from Around the World – plus bonus designs – printed on one side of non-perforated paper

[[VIDEOID:8872a2e4cefcb8175d5d5ab2b88d5ae5]]This is my third coloring book by Jason Hamilton. I have become a real fan with his wonderful representations of cats (on quilts and with Santa in previous coloring books.) I am extremely pleased with the gorgeous designs in this new book.
The artist has created a unique coloring book in that he has three levels of design levels. Each of the levels has ten designs. The first level is Simple Illustrations and includes women from: Korea, France, Polynesia, Spain, Italy, Southeast Asia, Canada, Morocco, Native American, and Western USA. The second level is Illustrations with Additional Detail and includes women from: Bride, Southern Belle, USA, UK, Japan, Pakistan, Peru, Nepal, Jamaica, and South Africa. The final level is Challenging Illustrations and includes women from India, Kamchatka, Victorian Lace, USA, Russia, Mexico, Norway, Brazil, Switzerland, and Ireland.
In addition to the three levels, the artist has included seven designs which are zoomed in images of other of the designs already mentioned above. The zoomed shot gives the colorist the opportunity to add more detail and shading to their project.
All of the designs stop well before the binding. The designs are printed on one side of thin white non-perforated paper that is typical for books published by CreateSpace. The binding is glued but there is plenty of room for you to cut a page out if you choose to do so. All of the designs have a “framing” line around the outside. I really like this as it gives me a natural stopping point, saves ink/pencil, and also gives me a more finished looking project when I color.
All of my markers bleed through and my gel pens either bleed through or leave a distinct shadow on the back of the page. My coloring pencils work well with the paper. I will use a piece of chipboard or heavy paper behind the page I am working on so I don't ruin the following page with leaking ink.
These are the coloring medium that I use for testing. If there is something else you feel I should be testing, please let me know and I will see if I can add it to my growing pile:
Markers: 1) alcohol-based – Copic Sketch, Prismacolor double ended markers (brush and fine point), Sharpies (fine and ultra-fine) and 2) water-based – Tombows dual end markers (brush and fine point), Stabilo 88, Staedler triplus fineliners, and Pentel markers
Gel Pens: Sakura, Fiskars, Uni-ball Signo 0.38/0.28 and Tekwriter
Coloring Pencils: Prismacolor Premier Soft Core, Derwent Colorsoft, Prismacolor Verithins, and Faber-Castel Polychromos

Women of the World Adult Coloring Book

This adult coloring book, as it says in the description, contains 30 blank illustrations of women in different clothing from around the world. The paper quality is relatively thick and could be fine if you wanted to watercolor them and likewise has wide margins around the image which is nice if you would like to test colors on the paper outside of the illustration border. Unfortunately, the pages lack perforations so it is difficult to remove pages from the book without the risk of damaging the illustration, however, this is minor. It's an interesting idea to have images that go from simple to more complex in terms of difficulty and detail. Overall, this is an enjoyable adult coloring book that gives you the ability to casually color-in the illustrations or spend a great deal of time on the activity based on your personal preference.

Beautiful and unique book!

This is a lovely collection of beautiful women from a wide variety of cultures! Great idea! The book is broken up into 3 levels of intricacy:
-10 simple illustrations
-10 illustrations with additional detail
-10 challenging illustrations (see my page I uploaded--has taken hours and still not finished!)
-7 bonus illustrations of face closeups on some of the previous pages
I especially love all the tiny details in the clothing and jewelry--they offer so many places to add more color! Overall, this is a beautiful book unlike any other I've seen!
